Mondial was started as a dealership by the 4 Bosselli brothers in 1929. During WW2 they were upended but following that, one brother realized the need for cheap transportation and began a manufacturing company called FB Mondial (FB for Fratelli Bosselli or, Brothers Bosselli). Their first bike was a small 125cc which won the first 3 World Championships, 1949-1951. During the 50s Mondial was a major player winning World Championships in the 125 and 250 class as well as winning often in the Giro‘d Italia and the Milan-Taranto road races. The company eventually ended in 1989.
