The third annual Flat Track Day had another strong turnout, with a good variety of racers, builders, owners, race fans and of course, awesome race bikes.
Some of the big names included AMA Grand Slam winner Doug Chandler, former Honda factory rider Jeff Haney (and his dad), former flat track Pro Expert Rod Spencer, local Experts Manual Dayton, Frank Garcia and Dick Rogers, Motorcycle Gathering at the Quail organizer Gordon McCall and three-time AMA Grand National Champion Rickey Graham's dad, Bill "Snyder" Graham.
Bob Carnahan set up a booth filled with flat track memorabilia, including stickers to commemorate the event. Steve and Vincent DeLorenzi of SDI-Racing brought a beautiful XR750 and one of Jared Mees' super trick Indian flat trackers. And to top off the festivities, a taco truck was on hand.
Be sure to mark your calendar for the fourth annual event in 2020. It's a fine day for showing your old flat track bikes, seeing old friends and stars of the sport, and of course, swapping stories.
